Thinking Skills

At Sexton’s Manor School we use De Bono’s thinking hats in all classrooms. Click below to read more about this:

De Bono's Thinking Hats

All classrooms have a thinking picture that changes regularly. The children ask questions and creatively make up stories about what they see.

All classrooms display thinking questions. For example; what can I do to improve my learning?

We cater for all learning styles at Sexton’s Manor School. We believe in a VAK approach to learning and teaching. We find out children’s preferred style of learning visual, auditory or Kinesthetic learners and plan accordingly, altering where appropriate.

We regularly have brain breaks and encourage the children to keep hydrated by drinking water from their water bottles.
