The Curriculum

At Sexton’s Manor Community Primary School we provide a rich and creative curriculum based around ‘Mantle of the Expert’ topics. Through this technique children are presented with a problem to solve such as a book to make for the library, or a film to produce. The children become experts as they work through the project and end with a finished product to share with others. We teach the children about positive attitudes to learning through the life skills of the Building Learning Power programme.

We have recently updated our curriculum to ensure it is in line with the high standards set by the government. Click here to see the curriculum for Early Years and the National Curriculum.

We have designed a curriculum map for each year group in the school. Please note that it may be subject to change.
